Surgeon, RMR, Calg Highrs, CF Hosp Cold Lake, HMCS Preserver, HMCS Nonsuch, HMCS Carleton. Initially trained as infantryman, then qualified as an infantry officer under the ROUTP program. I got my wings in 1975. Maj. Tony Seward trained with me, and I consider him a friend. After qualifying in medicine, I was posted to CF Hospital Cold Lake, and became the flight surgeon for 419 Sdn. I was then posted to PRESERVER and eventually joined the Reserves. Comment: The Canadian Military is in business to protect our country and not to be nice guys. We do have nice guys in the Forces, but that's a bonus. We need to do some "reverse spin". In other words, we need to let the Canadian public know what a military is about, and how good ! our troops are. If we don't, we'll have no one to blame but ourselves. Bravo Zulu on an excellent page. |

I'm an ex FSSF"Devil'd Brigade" member . Served in the US, Italy, southern France, and when the unit was broken up travelled to the UK with the Canadians. Was a Cpl, C-43742 originally from Montreal. As you may know we have a reunion each year and alternate between the US and Canada...this August it'll be Winnapeg , next year Kalispel , Montanna, then Ottawa the year after. Most of us are getting a little "long in the tooth" and the group gets smaller every year...must be the salt peter they put in the food! I'll pass along your info to the gang at the reunion. All the best and hang in there. Stu |
